Grindle Pictures

I love writing! I write about what's going on with my husband and I, daily life nannying, and different photography sessions I have! From family photography to couples photography to kids photography, I love documenting it all.

Bainbridge House: Interior Photo Shoot

Check out this amazing vacation rental on Bainbridge Island! I had so much fun working with interior designer Rachel Weise to photograph this house and all the hard work she put into every detail.

The day of the shoot I headed downtown to catch the ferry. Since moving to Seattle ferry rides have been one of my favorite things! I love being on the water, feeling the breeze and seeing the whole city slowly slip into the distance. I always look at the city scape and think “I live there!” I can’t believe I get to call Seattle home. I get so giddy every time I ride the ferry and I love taking a million pictures.

After the ferry ride we pulled up to the most charming home. I loved how inviting the space was, the bright colors and the little details Rachel was mindful to think of.

I asked Rachel to answer a couple questions to hear more about her passion for interior design! I love that my job allows me to capture people in their element and embracing their passions!

1. What got you into interior design? My parents remodel houses so I grew up constantly in renovations and interior design. I swore I wouldn’t be like my parents, but here we are. 🤷‍♀️😂

2. How would you describe your design esthetic? My style is joyful, eclectic, and bright. I love bright colors, so I use a lot of white and black for big pieces and then layer in tons of bright colors and treasures from my travels that bring me joy. The weirder the better. I have a weird thing for art with birds in it too.

3. What’s your favorite room to design? Kitchens! So many decisions, but when you are cooking in a well-designed kitchen, nothing feels better.

4. What’s your favorite room of the house and why? My favorite room of the house is the bedroom with the pink and green. It’s just so happy and bright, but still relaxing.

Here are my favorite pictures of this lovely home!
